SM Entertainment blocks all outside contact with SHINee and SNSD

Due to the explosive reactions to news that SHINee’s Jonghyun was dating actress Shin Se Kyung, SM Entertainment has begun blocking all outside contact with SHINee.
SHINee will be making an appearance on KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” on October 29th, the first public appearance for Jonghyun after his relationship was disclosed to the public.
SM Entertainment acknowledged the amount of attention being put on the group and prepared cautious measures to shield the members by having vans wait outside the studio exit in order to quickly move the group as soon as their rehearsal was completed.

Unlike other waiting rooms, busy and full with artists and staff members alike, the waiting rooms for SHINee and SNSD remained empty. Despite this being SNSD’s comeback stage, SM Entertainment has barred reporters and fans from reaching both groups.

A representative of SM Entertainment stated, “Jonghyun’s relationship has been completely exposed. We are being careful so that the story does not attract more attention.”

Onew, Minho, Suzy, Jiyeon to MC for “Music Core”

SHINee’s Onew and Minho, miss A’s Suzy, and T-ara’s Jiyeon have been chosen as the new MCs for MBC’s “Show! Music Core.”
MBC representatives uploaded a new post on their message board stating, “The four will be joining us as our new MCs starting this week.” A representative of SHINee’s agency, SM Entertainment, confirmed the news on October 29th: “SHINee’s Onew and Minho will be joining Suzy and Jiyeon as the MCs for ‘Show! Music Core.’”
After SNSD’s Yuri and Tiffany’s hung up their MC mics, the show began circulating different guest MCs every week. However, beginning with this week’s broadcast, viewers will be able to meet their new established hosts! Many are excited about the new lineup, as this will be the first time that four idol members will MC simultaneously.

Wheesung suggests switching over to Onew

Singer Wheesung aroused the curiosities of netizens by leaving a SHINee-related Tweet through his personal Twitter on October 27th.
He had tweeted, “Let’s just ‘coolly’ switch over to being a Onew fan.”
Wheesung and SHINee’s Jonghyun expressed their deep friendship throughout their careers, often going out on ‘dates.’ Jonghyun had even sent congratulatory standing flowers for Wheesung’s recent concert.
After finding out that Jonghyun is dating Shin Se Kyung, Wheesung was jokingly unable to contain his disappointment and moved on to SHINee’s most popular member, Onew.
Netizens commented, “Too bad for SHINee’s Jonghyun,” and “Does Wheesung like Shin Se Kyung too?”

Kim Hye Soo looks classy for Elle

With a different concept then usual, actress Kim Hye Soo’s photo shoot for the Elle magazine has been revealed. The photo shoot had her go and meet female students at an elementary school and the Ehwa Women’s University. She also met a store owner in her sixties and the editors of Elle, which totaled up to 52 people that she met for the shoot.
With clean and sleek outfits for the photos, Kim Hye Soo showed off her feminism and proved that her sexy look is still going strong.
The photo shoot will be featured on the November edition of Elle.

SM Entertainment drops injunction against JYJ’s “The Beginning”

SM Entertainment has withdrawn their injunction against the members of JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu), which had prohibited the sale of their album, “The Beginning.”
JYJ’s public relations agency, Prain, stated on October 27th, “SM Entertainment dropped the injunction they filed against JYJ on October 21st through the Seoul Central District Court.”
SM Entertainment had previously attempted to prohibit the sale of “The Beginning” on October 12th, as distributed by Warner Music Korea.

New girl group VNT release teaser video feat. SHINee’s Minho!

New pop-trio VNT has been gearing up for their debut, and they’ve recruited a formidable star to help! SHINee’s Minho will be featured for the music video of their title track, “Sound“.
Debuting under Media Line, CEO Kim Chang Hwan stated, “VNT is a highly skilled idol group consisting of girls entirely in their teens. They’ll be displaying different types of music from the standard girl groups out there.”
As an afterthought, Kim added, “I didn’t think it’d be this hard making an idol group.” Interestingly enough, Kim Chang Hwan was also the producer for Kim Gun Mo, Chae Yeon, and Clon.
Originally named V-92 (V-9-to the 2), VNT was originally scheduled to debut for September with 4 members. Unfortunately due to undisclosed circumstances, one member ended up leaving the group, forcing the new trio to come up with a new name.

Big Bang to return in a few weeks?

Big Bang fans have patiently waited for the boys to return to the Korean music scene and it now seems they don’t have to wait long.
Big Bang leader G-Dragon recently made an appearance on tvN E News while filming for a G-Market CF and he shared some thoughts about their much anticipated comeback.
When asked about when Big Bang’s upcoming album was going to be released, G-Dragon replied, “We haven’t met with the fans for so long, it’s been around 2 years now. Right now, the album is around 80% done and you might be able to find us around the middle of November. Please patiently wait for us.”
Very exciting news! It seems, Big Bang’s comeback could be just a few weeks from now. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.

SNSD reaches 1st on Oricon, makes history… again

We previously reported that SNSD made history by ranking number 2 on Oricon’s weekly chart. Apparently, the girls have made history once again on the Japanese music chart by finally reaching 1st on the Oricon Daily, today with their single “Gee“.
They will be the first non-Japanese Asian girl group to reach number 1 on the daily chart. As of now, SNSD holds both 1st and 10th on the chart with their previous single “Genie” taking number 10.
In further news, the MV teaser of their new single “Hoot” has reached over a million views on Youtube.

Stars attend ‘2011 S/S Seoul Fashion Week’

The “2011 S/S Seoul Fashion Week” continued on its penultimate day on October 27th with fashion shows by Korean designers Park Seung Gun (pushBUTTON), Kwak Hyun Joo, and more, at the Seoul Trade Exhibition & Convention Center (SETEC) in Daechi-dong.
Celebrities who were spotted at the two fashion shows include Orange Caramel (Lizzy, Nana, Raina), Brown Eyed Girls (Jea, Miryo), Gong Hyo Jin, Heo Yi Jae, SNSD’s Jessica, Super Junior (Ryeowook, Eunhyuk), Kim Bum, No Min Woo, Park Soo Jin, Choi Yeo Jin, and more.
Meanwhile, ZE:A member, Hyungsik, took to the runway for Kwak Hyun Joo’s fashion show, while his fellow ZE:A members were also present to watch him.
The “2011 S/S Seoul Fashion Week” will end tomorrow on October 28th.

Shin Se Kyung shuts down homepage due to backlash

Actress Shin Se Kyung has shut down her Cyworld mini-homepage after news of her relationship with SHINee’s Jonghyun was reported to the public.
After both agencies confirmed their relationship, fans flooded her mini-homepage with hateful remarks. Surprisingly, a significant majority of fans have shown maturity by leaving comments such as: “Hateful replies will only make SHINee look bad” and “Let’s try to respect Jonghyun’s private life.”
Still, a portion of the fanclub refuse to listen to reason and left venomous messages: “Who do you think you are, hitting on him?” and “You xxx, you think you match Jonghyun?”
Shin Se Kyung eventually shut down her homepage on the afternoon of October 27th.
Netizens observing the tirade expressed their disappointment with the entire situation, commenting, “It’s good that she shut it down. She shouldn’t have to read those kinds of comments“, “How are they acting any different from TaJinYo?”, and “Fans should respect their artist’s decision.”

SHINee’s Jonghyun & Shin Se Kyung confirmed to be dating!

A new couple has emerged onto the industry with actress Shin Se Kyung (21) and SHINee’s member Jonghyun (21), revealing that they are currently dating.
After finding that they both had an interest in one another, they began their relationship about a month ago and has confirmed it through Sports Seoul. The two were revealed to have gotten together as often as they could despite their busy schedules, having street dates mainly around Shin’s apartment.
A scene of the two dating was discovered on October 20th after Shin Se Kyung came home from the conference for her movie, “Acoustic.” Jonghyun was waiting for her by her home as the two went on to walk the streets while listening to music. Jonghyun would even at times cover her from passerbys.
One associate that saw the two commented, “They can’t spend a lot of time together since they’re both busy. They communicate through texting or phone calls and usually just take walks in the early morning around their homes.”

Jonghyun has often named Shin Se Kyung as his ideal woman, while Shin Se Kyung chose SHINee as her favorite idol group on broadcast appearances. They have been officially dating for a month, their first meeting being in May at a concert they both participated in. The two advanced on to friends, and now, significant others.
Another associate stated, “Meeting each other became a kind of opportunity to rest for them. They share a lot of the same hobbies and thoughts, which is why they were able to get so close so fast. The two became stars at a young age and have hardships that aren’t able to be expressed in words. Those points became a sort of strength to one another.”
The management agencies of the couple confirmed the relationship with Sports Seoul on October 26th.
Shin Se Kyung’s agency, Namoo Actors, stated, “It’s been a month since they began meeting one another. They have good feelings for one another and are currently getting to know each other.”
Jonghyun’s agency, SM Entertainment, also carefully stated, “We heard that they met each other through other people. Their relationship is just now beginning.”

2NE1’s Dara becomes 007?

After the release of 2NE1TV episode 6, which highlighted 2NE1’s trip to England, Dara revealed more photos from the filming.
Dara wrote, ‘Our lovely fans, CL’s sunglasses were borrowed, and your sweet present didn’t fit, so I went shopping in London! It still doesn’t look good right?!?! ^_^ Minzy is dancing today, and you can also see the legendary dancing machine Dara in action! Just for a little bit!‘

Park Soo Jin talks about her friendship with TVXQ’s Yunho

After actress Park Soo Jin and TVXQ’s Yunho revealed their close friendship through a picture they took together for Twitter, the two immediately garnered the explosive attention of netizens on various community message boards, leading Park Soo Jin to reveal her thoughts on her relationship friendship with Yunho.
“I never thought that my picture with Yunho would be such a hot topic. I’ve known him for over 10 years now. He was Dana’s rapper when I first debuted with ‘Sugar’. We began using the same waiting room and slowly became friends. TVXQ fans know of our friendship.”
The two also featured in J.Rich’s debut song, “Goodbye My Love“, this past April.
She continued, “Everyone around me keeps telling me that Yunho is so handsome. I’ve known him since we were so young that I don’t really think those things.
